On the walk of life, sometimes we find ourselves sprinting headlong through the darkness. We can only hope that the path we're on leads us out of the dark and into to a better place. Recently I've been able to slow down and enjoy the scenery a little more. I submitted my first hand drawn piece of art - ever. It's not totally my work though. It's simply a background added to a friends existing piece. I hope it pleases at least a few people. I'm proud of it in at least a small way. I look forward to exploring more skills and talents for myself in the future.

WOW, 10 wishes for Christmas. My first ten are something I came up with before i found out I'd be coming home early from Afghanistan. So then i came up with the second list since the first list is almost all guaranteed to happen now. I:    I'd like to be home for Christmas. II:   Spend time with my wife. III:  Host a Christmas party for all of my friends. IV:   Sleep in my own bed for as long as i want. V:    Drive down the road in my own truck listening to music. VI:   Enjoy some of Jenna's fresh out of the oven bread and cookies. VII:  Time to work on my new engine. VIII: Cook food for the people i love. IX:   Grill a steak medium

Most Americans go through their days not realizing the things they have. Those of us serving in the armed forces are no different. However; sometimes we are sent away to places where we realize a whole new perspective on life. Things we take for granted at home stick out at us as clearly as our reflections in a mirror. This simple fact inspired my latest not so original creation. Hope it helps a few people understand the things we sacrifice to ensure our country can keep them back home.
